Blueprints and Tickets

Recently, I have spent time learning about blueprints and WP Playground. The Playground documentation site is a great resource for getting started: Introduction | WordPress Playground. Blueprints are a good way to be able to demo themes and plugins without having to deploy on your own prod or local environments. It’s very neat how simple they are – since they are just written in JSON files and can be put directly into the URL. I am looking into contributing using blueprints on both themes and plugins.

I have also spent some time looking through tickets on the core.track site. It seems that there are very limited opportunities for someone newer to WP to contribute, but it has been valuable for learning, nonetheless. I will continue to look for any opportunities to submit code there.
