I have decided to go with Core as my contribution team! As someone who is an IT professional and a beginner developer, I figured I would feel at home with Core and I expect it will be a great learning experience. Another reason Core sounded appealing to me was because of the ticketing system. I am comfortable with various ticketing systems, and I figured having a backlog of tickets would aid me in finding ways to contribute.

I’m hoping to be able to attend one of the weekly core meetings soon. Since deciding on Core, I have gotten a local WP environment running and have begun to familiarize myself with the code base. Looking forward to digging deeper!
